Where Does My Money Go?
We believe it is crucial that Members feel comfortable with where and how their Membership fees and donations are being spent. Here are some of the ways in which your hard-earned money is being monitored and expended:
- All Membership funds and donations will go towards projects in Nepal – the funds will not be used on expenses at Head Office in Bermuda or any other jurisdiction in which The ISIS Foundation operates, other than Nepal.
- Funds will be dedicated to specific projects and activities in Nepal including:– any funds paid to a Nepali partner organisation; any funds used in the operation of the children’s homes currently supported y ISIS; any running expense within Nepal including wages of staff working in Kathmandu and/or Humla; any expense incurred in Nepal in the management of the Foundation (such as registration costs in Nepal).
- We have mentioned projects on this website to which funds may be sent. However The ISIS Foundation may develop new projects in Nepal, not yet on the website, and they may use Kathmandu Kids Club funding for those projects. We are putting this proviso on the funding to ensure that the projects that ISIS chooses to support in Nepal are driven by their understanding of the needs of the communities and kids they serve, not by donors.
- At the end of every quarter, we will post accounts on this website, in this section of the site, showing how much the Club has raised, and where Club funds have been expended. The first time this posting will occur is after the end of the second quarter, 2006.
- The ISIS Foundation’s accounts are audited annually by KPMG in Bermuda. Please send us an email if you would like a PDF copy of the 2006 calendar year audit.
