The KatKids Christmas Market 2009 is taking place on Friday, 27 November 2009, starting at 5:30pm.
Bigger, bolder and better than ever before!

There will be a $10 cover charge at the door. Advance tickets are available from The ISIS Foundation office on Crow Lane or www.premiertickets.bm (on sale from November 1, 2009).

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY enter a cacophony of sounds, sights and tastes as we bring an enchanting night market to Hamilton! Shop for Christmas gifts at our market stalls chock full of Nepalese and Ugandan arts, crafts and jewelry. Haggle with the best of them for authentic one-offs at our live and silent auctions! Get into the spirit with mulled wine and Christmas carols and enjoy an interactive presentation entitled Moving the Spirit With Drumming with our local African drummer, Dr Larry Trott. And don’t miss out on the live music debut of local blues band ‘Bones’ featuring Neil Burnie, Graham Pewter, Rick Hawke, Andrew Chamberlain and David Skinner. Enjoy happy hour priced drinks and food, including delicious and hearty Nepalese and African fare… and much more! 100% of every single dollar spent at the event will go directly and undiluted to ISIS Foundation projects!

Presentations were given on The ISIS Foundation’s projects in Nepal and Uganda and trekkers of the 2008 XL Charity Challenge Everest Base Camp also gave fascinating personal accounts of their exciting trek, which raised over $200,000 for ISIS projects.

Guests enjoyed wine and delicious Nepalese cuisine, while meandering around market stalls, which offered authentic Nepalese and Ugandan jewellery, along with artisan crafts.

We will also have the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts from the 2008 XL Charity Challenge Everest Base Camp Trekkers!

Delicious Nepalese food, wine and our famous KatKids market selling beautiful handmade items from Nepal and Uganda will follow the presentations.

Tickets are available at the ISIS offices at 35 Crow Lane, East Broadway. Members $50, Non-Members $60.

Thursday 5 June, 2008 at BUEI. Doors open at 5:45pm. Presentations start at 6:00 pm.

The 2008 XL Charity Challenge Everest Base Camp Trek Team Returns Safe and Successful! An opportunity to hear first hand accounts and see photographs of their sponsored trek for KatKids will be upcoming in June at a KatKids event at the BUEI.

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to another great KatKids event! It may have taken us weeks to organise it but only a couple of hours to raise a fantastic total of $25,798!

Over two hundred people came to the KatKids Christmas Market at Goslings Wine Cellar on December 4th and the event was a tremendous success. We transformed Goslings into a bustling Christmas market where our guests enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and carols played by the brilliant kids from Bermuda School of Music, while they perused our unique gift stalls, bought Katkids gift certificates, had a go in our raffle or bid on our silent auction. It was a perfect festive party to kick off the holiday season with.

The money raised really will make tangible improvements to the lives of children and families in serious need in Nepal and Uganda. Approximately $1,500-2,500 (raised from the sale of Ugandan crafts) will go to ISIS supported projects in Uganda and the rest (over $20,000) will go to the projects that the ISIS Foundation supports in Nepal.

We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed goods and/or services to the event, as well as everyone who came along and bought, bid or donated on the night. Here’s to another great event!
