On September 28th, the Kathmandu Kids Club was finally formally launched, with a function attended by over 300 at the Bermuda National Gallery.
In two hours flat, a team of volunteers transformed the Gallery into a marketplace for shopping for jewellery and pashminas, an auction warehouse with beautiful Buddhist paintings and Kashmiri silk rugs, giant displays showing people what ISIS and Katkids are all about, and even a table for people to register their interest in climbing Mt Everest in 2007 for ISIS. Everyone had a fantastic time and we raised over US$30,000 for the kids in Nepal, a fantastic result.
